A Simple Ayurvedic Morning

Ayurveda calls a daily routine dinacharya. The idea is that regular habits steady the body and mind. You do not need to do everything. Choose one or two.
Gentle habits to try
- Wake at a consistent time. Regularity matters more than an early hour.
- Warm water. A cup of warm water before tea or coffee is a common habit.
- Tongue scraping and mouth care. A traditional part of the morning.
- A few minutes of movement. Gentle stretches or a short walk.
- Breath. Try the six-breath opening from our breath story.
Keep it realistic
A routine you can keep beats a perfect one you drop. Add one habit for a week before adding another.
